About NMG 2027

India's Integrated Maritime Sports Platform

The National Maritime Games 2027 is India's first integrated national sports and family platform for the maritime ecosystem, bringing together seafarers, ports, shipping companies, PSUs, maritime training institutes, shipyards, RPSLs, logistics organisations, ship-recycling units, universities, research institutions, unions, veterans and maritime families.

Hosted across the world-class sporting facilities of Ganpat University in Gujarat from 5 to 12 January 2027, the Games bring together over 5,000 participants from 300+ organisations across 28 disciplines — including Olympic team sports, track & field, racquets, distinctive maritime skill games, and dedicated para-events.

Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) and Directorate General of Shipping, this landmark biennial championship strengthens workforce wellbeing, family participation, and national pride.
